From the Stone Age to the Digital Age, people have been making art. Yet making art is sometimes costly, either to individual people or to us as a group: dangerous, using up scarce resources, causing physical pain. What are some of the odds humans have overcome to make art? By investigating this topic we will gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and what it means to be human.
